Announcing My New Side Job: “The Antique and Classic Car Store”
Debuting on Shopify.com Monday 04/11/24
by Minister Paul J. Bern
Featuring wall calendars, wall decor, men’s & women’s clothing, mugs for coffee or tea, tote bags and more! All images are either classic convertibles or old station wagons.
Each calendar has an introductory price of $19.95, and all are dedicated to one brand of car. As for the rest of the styles (wall decor, clothing, etc.), there are 45 images to choose from. These include Buick, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Ford, Mercury, Oldsmobile, Plymouth, Lincoln and Thunderbird, plus antique car brands no longer manufactured such as Packard, Hudson, Nash and others.
I Got a New Gig
For this week only, I am going to be setting up this new online specialty shop dedicated to an old hobby of mine: antique and classic cars. Earlier in my life when I was much more prosperous, I was involved in the classic car hobby on a full time basis. But I was forced into early retirement by a stroke, plus some other health issues that were active at that time.
I’m doing much better now, but since I’ve aged out of the workforce (I was an IT professional for 21 years) I have been looking for a way to make some extra money on line. Then I got the idea to use my love and considerable knowledge of antique and classic cars into an online enterprise. People love old convertibles and station wagons, but like myself, the majority can’t afford to invest in an antique or classic car. But they could afford to buy a calendar dedicated to various brands of old car favorites of theirs. During my research into this topic, I realized that I could sell my “car collection” in quite a number of formats, such as wall decor, tee shirts, hoodies, coffee mugs and so much more. And it will be found on Shopify and Gelato, followed by Etsy.com in the near future.
So, I am taking a week off from my pastoral duties here at church to get this done. As of this writing, the calendars are ready to go, but I still have lots of work to do. Below you will find a link to my message for this week, plus a bonus video. There will be no Biblical Study Series this Thursday evening as is usually the case. But the study series and my usual weekly message will resume Sunday, February 10th at the usual time of 6:30AM.
In the meantime, feast your eyes on these two videos. The first is an older post that explains why so many young people are leaving churches. The second one is a repeat of a post from just a few weeks ago on my You Tube channel about the immorality of a so-called “Second American civil war”. The video goes on to lament about the unconscionable number of casualties such a war would bring. A must-watch for every truly patriotic American.

The Second One is from just a couple of weeks ago that was well-received titled, “Who wants another US civil war?”
